Introducing Creative Talent Search

Connecting creative talent with the world’s best opportunities.

Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of Creative Talent Search,  a new product to connect creatives across the globe with job opportunities from top brands and companies. Creative companies and hiring managers will have access to powerful new tools to discover and engage with the talent they need.

Any hiring manager using Creative Talent Search will be able to use advanced discovery tools to find the right talent for their job. (Finding experts in Photoshop who live in the Bay Area and have worked in automotive design is easier than ever!) Our custom algorithms recommend candidates for the role and get smarter the more the system is used. And of course, the public post advertises the job to the millions of creatives on Behance.

These are unparalleled features for a hiring manager —but the real benefits go to the creatives themselves. Our work with creative teams and hiring managers will bring you more opportunities. Already, tens of thousands of creatives whose work is on Behance have been contacted by recruiters. Our launching Creative Talent Search furthers two key parts of our mission: ensuring you continue to get the attribution for the work you’ve done, and giving you more access to the opportunities you deserve.

Now, more than ever, what’s on your Behance Portfolio will help you get discovered. To optimize your portfolio, we suggest completing your Work Experience section and filling out additional information in Project Settings like clients and agency info, tools used, and tags. And, participate in Community Curation: We think the best curators are Creatives themselves. Behance members get more exposure and opportunity as their work is appreciated by more people, and by other “highly appreciated” members in their field.

The Results from the ‘Behance Talent Search: Student Edition’

All-nighters, limited funds, and not nearly enough hours in a day –being a student is tough! We recently ran a competition to celebrate the hard work and innovation of creative students, awarding prizes for the top work. Submissions were judged based on presentation, creativity, originality, thought-process and execution. Of the 2,000+ submissions, check out the lucky few who’ll be taking home a series of creative prizes:

Kachi-Katah, a transformative chair inspired by a Japanese flower, by product designer Masamune Kaji

A collection of oil paintings by artist Matthew Adelberg

Illustrations for an interactive e-book by illustrator Rafael Alvarez

A conceptual project with 3D modeling for a new Volvo model by automotive designer Alexandar Alexiev

A self promotional branding project by graphic designer Yerevan Dilanchian

How do I find a great designer on Behance?

We hear stories of top companies like Apple, Netflix, and tech startups hiring talent they’ve found on Behance everyday. But how do they discover the right talent in the first place? Here are the top three things they’re doing:

1) Search for the right things with our discovery tools
We offer robust tools found in the “discovery” tab with ways to search, sort, and filter that will help you find your ideal designer.

  • Start with the subject matter: use Tags (like iPad, iPhone), search by Field (like “Interaction Design”), Tools Used, or School Attended (found in the Advanced Search).
  • Then, Filter by Location for a list of design specialists based in your area

2) Leverage Top Creatives As Curators
The smartest recruiters/companies are “following” top creatives/designers that they like. By doing this, you not only get to see the latest work from these designers, but you also see every single project that they appreciate, comment on, or add to a collection. Since there are millions of projects on Behance, you’re essentially using the top designers as your curator to find top talent. This is the BEST way of identifying top talent in specific fields… just get the experts to do it for you!
