Publish Projects Faster! Announcing our Project Settings Redesign

Good news, Behancers: we just launched something big – a redesign of our Project Settings section. The changes will let you create and publish a project much more quickly without compromising any of the settings that you need to fill out to get the best exposure.

When creating a project, you’ve noticed that there are quite a few settings steps between adding Content and Publishing. All of this is important. Things like copyright settings, privacy, ownership, tags -we ask for all of this so that your work is taken seriously and can get the views and respect it deserves, as well as traction around the web. However, we understand that many of you were getting bogged down in this section, and wanted to get to publishing more quickly.

A peek at the redesigned Project Settings

Our designers put a lot of thought into how to create a settings section that retained all of the essential settings, while letting you publish earlier. Here’s what we came up with. Just a few required steps on Tab 1 – Basic Info, streamlined for speed, and after that, you can Publish (or get deeper into settings in Tab 2 if you’d like).

A quick word about what IS required: the project description and tags are essential to helping your work get found. The short description of your project, along with the tags you use to describe the work will define what sort of Google Results and Behance search results your work is included in. So, being specific and thorough with these will open your work up to more people and make it easier to come up.

Enjoy!

I usually choose all the same settings for things like copyright settings, privacy, ownership, etc. Could there be a way for your projects to default to the same settings the user sets up and then an option to change the default when you enter a new project? And if you choose not to change anything, then you could go through the process a lot faster.
